Episode 3: Should Mom (Dad) Go Home or To The Skilled Nursing Unit?

Many families are faced with the question "Should Mom (Dad) come home..?" when they are nearing discharge from the hospital. Patients, when discharged, are oftentimes too weak to safely go home. Families do not know how or are not available to provide the care that is needed when loved ones are weak and need extensive care due to the illness or weakness that has occurred.

This episode provides clarity to the option of Skilled Nursing Care for your loved ones, and provides the benefit of Skilled Nursing Care. The call-in segment of the episode also addresses calls concerning use of the bedside commode, 24 hour care needs, compliance with medical advice, and guilt of a caregiver.
